Our Learning Center is designed exclusively for Black, Indigenous, Native, and Latinx youth with neurodivergence. Our mission is to provide a nurturing and equitable educational environment that celebrates diversity, promotes individualized learning, and supports the unique needs of each student. We recognize that traditional education may not cater to every student's learning style, and that's why we've created a program that offers both online and in-person learning options, fostering a holistic approach to education.
Key Features:
1. Neurodivergence and Alternative Learning: We understand that neurodivergent students and those with alternative learning styles require tailored approaches to education. Our experienced educators and support staff are trained to identify and address these unique needs, ensuring that each student's learning experience is optimized for success.
2. Individualized Learning Plans: We recognize that no two students are alike, which is why our curriculum is completely individualized. Upon enrollment, each student undergoes a thorough assessment to identify their strengths, areas for growth, and preferred learning methods. Based on this assessment, a personalized learning plan is crafted to ensure that every student can reach their full potential.
3. Grade Levels 3-8: Our program covers grades 3-8, allowing students to experience a continuous and consistent learning journey from upper elementary through middle school. This seamless transition aids in the development of strong academic foundations and social skills that serve them well in their educational journey.
4. Flexible Learning Environments: We provide both online and in-person learning options to cater to different preferences and circumstances. Our online platform is designed to offer engaging and interactive virtual classrooms, while our in-person sessions encourage collaboration, hands-on experiences, and social interaction.
6. Experienced Coaches: Our team consists of highly skilled educators with a certifications in behavior analysis, special education, speech, and social work who are passionate about creating a positive and supportive learning environment. They receive ongoing training in neurodiversity awareness, culturally responsive teaching, and personalized instruction techniques to ensure the success of every student.
Enrollment:
Enrollment is open to all families in grades 3-8 who are neurodivergent or have alternative learning styles. Parents and guardians are encouraged to contact us for more information and to schedule an assessment to determine if our program is the right fit for their child.
